Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

       Sec. 1.  7 MRSA §1822 is enacted to read:

§1822.  Vaccine disclosure forms

   A veterinarian shall provide a vaccine disclosure form to the owner of a dog or cat before vaccinating that dog or cat.  The vaccine disclosure form must provide information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of vaccines.

SUMMARY

   This bill requires a veterinarian to provide a vaccine disclosure form to the owner of a dog or cat before vaccinating that dog or cat.  The vaccine disclosure form must provide information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of vaccines.
